Are you looking for an AZ State Legislator who is ethical, visionary, dedicated and has a proven track record of accomplishment in civil service?

Linda Patterson is a retired educator running for the Arizona State Senate in District 11.  Linda recognizes that the present incumbent of the office does not represent the majority of voters in District 11 -but instead those of special interests.

Linda supports equal rights for all, fully funding public education, access to affordable healthcare, fair wages, controlled access to weapons used in war and genuine action on climate change.  She is committed to being a part of the Democratic Wave that will deliver necessary changes to make Arizona work better for the majority of Arizonans!

Linda was raised in a family that knows the value of public education. Both her mom and dad were respected educators.  Her mom, a special education teacher/counselor and her dad, a superintendent (who was known for working for all children in low socioeconomic areas), were true models for her and her three sisters.

It was in that time that she learned that if she wanted to change things, she needed to dedicated to humanitarian values and intervening in systems that need change.

Linda graduated Cum Laude from Washington State University and began her career as a high school teacher.  She later became a high school intervention counselor and school administrator after furthering her education by obtaining a Masters Degree and additional degree, Summa and Magna Cum Laude.  As a highly respected high school principal and as a participant in a model schools training program at Stanford University, she led her faculty and staff in reforming high schools into learning academies where a students passions were addressed. These seven academies increased student performance, reduced the dropout rate and allowed students to earn college credits while in high school.

Linda has always made a positive difference in the lives of others, especially as a mentor and educator.  She value facts and justice for all, not shaded truths and the interests of a few.  She will provide legislation that promises more for Arizonans.

Linda has experienced the deep, emotional distress connected to a mass school shooting. In the aftermath of a 17 year old student entering a school cafeteria and shooting 27 fellow students, she provided critical support to the neighboring school in its time of crisis.  "It was here that I learned about the survivors guilt, anxiety, depression and suicide that follow a school shooting. As a state senator, I am determined to make the necessary changes to stop mass shootings.  It is not right that people are afraid to shop, go to concerts or a movie and attend school."

For change we can believe in....
